17 restaurants, a 90-meter infinity pool on the roof and a giant aquarium with jellyfish are just some of the attractions worthy of admiration… All this and more is located in one place – at the Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences in Dubai, UAE.

Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences

When Atlantis The Palm, the first man-made island resort of the Palm Jumeirah, opened in September 2008, it changed Dubai forever. Fast forward more than a decade – and now the Royal Atlantis Resort is gearing up to welcome guests.

The duo of stations occupies 63 hectares. It is about 155 football pitches. Here are 8 things to know about a hotel that breaks stereotypes.

#1. Palm Jumeirah Resort has 17 restaurants and bars

A rich selection of restaurants will allow Atlantis guests to embark on a culinary journey around the world without leaving the resort. 5 restaurants will be run by celebrity chefs. Heston Blumenthal, Jose Andres, Ariana Bundy, Gaston Acurio and Costa Spiliadis will bring inventive dishes from British, Spanish, Persian, Peruvian and Mediterranean cuisine, respectively, to the Palm Jumeirah coast. On the 22nd and 23rd floors, there will be an exquisite Cantonese Ling Ling night restaurant from the award-winning Hakkasan restaurant team with many outdoor terraces overlooking the pool. An all-day restaurant, an American diner, a Robatayaki restaurant, and several cocktail bars, including one on the 22nd floor of the Sky Pool, round out the Michelin-worthy list.

No. 2. The lobby bar has one of the largest jellyfish aquariums in the world

At Atlantis The Palm, guests can admire more than 65,000 marine animals in the Lost Chambers aquarium, and the Royal Atlantis will also be decorated in a water theme. The centerpiece of the lobby bar will be an aquarium with 2,000 jellyfish, and 3 other aquariums in the lobby will hold 600,000 liters of water.

No. 3. The theme of fire and water runs through the interior design of the hotel

Five spectacular installations, dedicated to water and fire, have been designed by the Californian design firm WET. They are included inside the Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences. Residents and guests will feel at home thanks to a masterpiece composition: streams of water cascade into the shallow water of the pool, in which the flame is designed to burst like fountains.

Another unique feature of the installation is the graceful waterfalls that cascade over the external surfaces of the elevators and create the effect of a serene wall of water. The central place at ground level is occupied by a composition called GLIMMER, which brightly illuminates the space, and the HORIZON project is a water structure that elevates the living room at ground level to new heights.

Number 4. The magnificent infinity pool is 90 meters long and rises 96 meters above the Palm Jumeirah

The Sky Pool, an endless pool overlooking the sky, is 90 meters long and rises 96 meters above the Palm Jumeirah on the 22nd floor. The Sky Pool overlooks the legendary Dubai cityscape on one side and the sparkling Arabian Gulf on the other. It will include a nearby cocktail bar, which will become a popular spot for an evening getaway.

No. 5. The rooms occupy 43 floors in the west wing and the accommodations have 37 floors in the east wing

A hotel will be located in the west wing. There will be 795 rooms, including 693 ocean and palm view rooms, 96 suites and 6 signature suites. The residences will be located on the opposite side, in the east wing, and will bring a new level of luxury to Dubai. The collection will include 231 residential buildings with 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedrooms, including Skycourts, Penthouses and Garden Suites.

Each residence and hotel room overlooks the Palm Jumeirah or the Arabian Gulf, and many have their own outdoor space. The superior rooms have a garden with terrace and a private infinity pool.

Number 6. Both resorts have over 90 pools

Both resorts will have over 90 public and private swimming pools, as well as 2 kilometers of private beach – the largest continuously accessible private beach in Dubai, 45 restaurants and bars, a beach club and a nightclub. Guests can also visit The Lost Chambers Aquarium and Aquaventure Water Park.

No. 7. The resort has 4-bedroom Skycourt Residences with private pools

Skycourt Residences are a key design element of Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences. Each Skycourt option includes up to 4 bedrooms with elevated terraces, a private outdoor pool and landscaped gardens. The residences will offer views both indoors and underwater, as well as out to the glass-enclosed pool. They also offer a 360 degree panorama from the balcony.

No. 8. Guests of the Royal Atlantis hotel can visit the new Aquaventure water park

Aquaventure is one of the largest water parks in the world when it opened the Trident Tower. The new 48-meter tower of the famous “Trident Tower” water park completes Atlantis Aquaventure with a collection of 12 new slides, bringing the number of attractions to 105. That means hours of endless family fun!
