MIAMI GARDENS ― One again, the Miami Dolphins had a successful class of undrafted free agents.
After adding players like Kenneth Grant and Jonah Savaiinaea in the first and second rounds, and some other intriguing players in Rounds 5-7, the Dolphins got to work on adding players at positions of need.
Even after the draft, the Dolphins appear to have depth needs at cornerback, offensive line, defensive line, linebacker, tight end and wide receiver.
By this point, we are accustomed to at last one, perhaps even two or three undrafted free agents making the Dolphins' initial 53-man roster.

Asante can be effective as a blitzer and has huge upside on special teams. Asante began his career at North Carolina. Some traits similar to newcomer Willie Gay. Preseason will be extremely important for Asante's chances.
Jaylin Conyers, TE, Texas Tech

Jalin Conyers is a 6-foot-4, 260-pound tight end who could have been drafted as high as the sixth round. Conyers is a receiving weapon who will work hard to become a more polished blocker. Conyers has been a wildcat QB. Conyers had stops at Oklahoma and Arizona State. Conyers has a basketball background. Conyers will battle for a TE3 or TE4 spot.
BJ Adams, CB, UCF

BJ Adams is a 6-foot-2, 182-pound cornerback who could have been drafted as high as the fifth round. Adams did not test exceptionally well but is ultra-competitive and wants to be physical. Can be prone to penalty. Adams has good frame and length and he plays with confidence. Can be a special teams contributor. Should compete for the final cornerback spot on the roster.
Theo Wease, WR, Missouri

Theo Wease is a 6-foot-3, 200 pound wide receiver who could have been drafted. Wease is a big receiver and Miami needs one for third downs and red zone. Wease high-points the ball and wins contested passes. Began his career at Oklahoma. Good body control. Average speed, so must impress as a power forward type. Can compete for the final wide receiver spot on the roster.
Andrew Armstrong, WR, Arkansas

Andrew Armstrong is a 6-foot-4, 202-pound receiver who could have been drafted as high as the sixth round. Armstrong is a big receiver and his camp competition with Wease should be interesting. Slot tight end traits. This is a player who will try to be what Miami hoped Chase Claypool would be. Will compete for one of the final roster spots, or could land on the practice squad as a developmental player.
