It’s also the closest hotel to the 154-acre Aquaventure water park, and The Dig (a fantastic archaeological site of the ruins of the listed city of Atlantis) starts right in the hotel lobby, making The Royal the logical choice for families with children as well as gamers. However, proximity comes at a price, and the Royal remains one of Atlantis’ luxury hotels.
the reef For a family vacation by the sea, consider the Reef. This residential-style luxury hotel offers easy access to Paradise and Cove beaches, spacious suites with well-equipped kitchens, and is close to the Dolphin Cay animal encounter program, resort spa, tennis, and golf. fitness center. And of course, you still have access to Aquaventure and all the other amenities of Atlantis.
The cove Located next to the reef, The Cove has a totally different vibe, starting with the fact that this upscale resort is adults-only. Considered the most upscale of the Atlantis hotels, The Cove offers open rooms with balconies and oversized bathrooms, all a peaceful distance from the hustle and bustle of the casino and water park. If you’re looking for a serene corner in a mega resort, this is your place. (It also houses the exceptional Fish by Jose Andres).
The seaside resort of the port With colorful, low-rise village-style hotel buildings lining the Atlantis Marina, the Harborside is an attractive mid-priced hotel that’s conveniently located near Marina Village’s shops and restaurants, including traditional performers from Bahamas who frequent the streets of the village. The villas are large enough to accommodate families, who will also enjoy some of Marina Village’s more affordable restaurants, including pizza and a deli. The Harborside is also a good option for friends or multi-generational families with its choice of one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas.
The coral The Coral offers a combination of moderately priced rooms and a convention venue in the middle of the fish-filled lagoons of Atlantis, roughly between the Royal Towers and the Marina Village. The hotel has its own pool and is home to Atlantis’ CRUSH club for teens and tweens, and is also close to the resort’s lagoon snorkeling experience and predator tank with its tunnel 100ft glass-walled – even more kid-friendly attractions, in other words (for mum and dad, the Crystal Court Casino and Shopping Center are also nearby). Three categories of rooms have one king bed or two queen beds.
The beach The most economical hotel in Atlantis is directly on Atlantis Beach and offers rooms with water or patio views. Throw in the hot and cold breakfast included with a stay and it’s perhaps the most affordable way to enjoy an “Atlantis vacation.”
