BREVARD COUNTY, FL – I had the opportunity to speak with students Friday at Atlantis Elementary School in Port St. John about the honor of serving as Brevard County Sheriff and of course, Junny , our BCSO mascot.

During the presentation, I was able to share with the students the responsibilities of the brave men and women of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and how much I truly enjoy being able to serve our community as a Sheriff.

With a new school year upon us, Junny and I discussed the fight against bullying and the importance of making good decisions and how those decisions forever affect our lives.

I want to personally thank the teachers and administration of Atlantis Elementary School for inviting us to speak today, as well as all of the students who attended the presentation!

Not only did they ask great questions, but we are also incredibly polite and respectful.

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
