“Chalk and roller!” Atlantis gears up for its annual chalk art and music festival

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) — ‘Chalk’ until experience, but after six years of hosting the Reno Chalk Art and Music Festival, Atlantis Casino knows what it’s doing!

Reno’s fastest growing arts event is back July 8-10. Watch over 150 artists transform the pavement into spectacular masterpieces as they battle it out for prizes. There will also be arts and crafts vendors, a variety of food and drink, and live entertainment. This year’s musical lineup includes Eddie Cotton, JP Soars, Onoleigh Pommier, Whitney Myer and JC Smith.

Atlantis communications manager Joel Villanueva stopped by Morning Break to get everyone hyped up for the event.

Artists can always reserve their place in the contest and the best part is that entry is free. It is also free for community members who value art more than participating in art.

Starting Monday, July 27 and for 12 weeks, Atlantis is also running a social media contest.

To participate:

  1. Follow Atlantis Reno on Instagram.
  2. Take a great photo of you and your team enjoying something on the Atlantis property.
  3. Post to Instagram with the hashtag #MyAtlantisMoments.
  4. Enter to win $500 in Atlantis credit for even more casino and spa fun.
