Ocean Casino’s Makai Brings Island Flavors to Atlantic City | To eat

In fact, the menu features a list of traditional American breakfast and lunch items such as omelets – available in cheese, western, bacon and cheese, egg white and crab and asparagus varieties; Steak and Eggs, a monster sized fruit bowl and Eggs Benedict, plus burgers and salads.

The flavors of the island begin to seep in as you explore further afield. Kalua Pork & Eggs is a divine Hawaiian-based (and massive) dish featuring slow-braised pork and a duo of eggs cooked to your liking, all topped with Hollandaise sauce and crispy onions and served with a side of homemade fries.

Loco Moko mixes sticky rice with Makai sauce, a fried egg and smoked bacon, while those craving something on a bun will appreciate the Big Island Breakfast Sammie, a change of pace from your Standard PEC, with country ham, an easy over egg and American cheese topped with pineapple relish on Hawaiian King’s bread with house fries.

Lunch dishes are also plentiful. Don’t miss the Maui Onion Rings, a one-app beer winner that’s served with a savory and addictive smoky chili ranch sauce. Eating lighter is easy here, too, with options like shrimp ceviche with mango, avocado, serrano peppers, lychee, and crispy taro chips; or the Poke Bowl, with your choice of tuna or salmon with sticky rice, edamame, Japanese pickles, pineapple, papaya and sriracha aioli.

Burgers and sandwiches have their own sub-section on the menu, and we love the grouper sandwich with its blend of island slaw, cilantro, and spicy aioli on a soft, spongy Hawaiian roll.
