David Grutman of Groot Hospitality and Pharrell Williams will partner with Atlantis Paradise Island to open a brand new resort in 2024: Somewhere Else. The property is located next to Atlantis and will take over the current site of The Beach).

Somewhere Else will feature more than 400 guest rooms and suites along with an array of vibrant top-tier restaurants, lushly landscaped grounds, an oceanfront beach, multiple pools and recreation areas, luxury amenities and live entertainment. An atmosphere of tropical modernism will be seen and felt throughout the resort; Shawn Sullivan, of David Rockwell’s award-winning global architecture and design firm, Rockwell Group, is the project’s lead designer. Together with Grutman and Williams, this group is creating a captivating oasis in its own right – but Somewhere Else will also be close to Atlantis Paradise Island‘s myriad dining and entertainment options.

“Somewhere Else is going to be a one-of-a-kind resort,” said David Grutman, founder of Groot Hospitality. “Not only will this provide a major extension of the unforgettable, high-energy experiences we offer with Groot Hospitality, but also a clear focus on nature and the restorative elements. We will have something for everyone, but Pharrell and I are making sure that Somewhere Else is unlike anywhere else.”

“Teaming up with David Grutman and Pharrell to further evolve the resort is something we are extremely proud to embark on this year,” said Audrey Oswell, President and CEO of Atlantis Paradise Island. “We look forward to sharing the Somewhere Else experience with new and returning guests alike, which will be amplified by the culture and warm Bahamian hospitality found only at Atlantis Paradise Island.”
